Ground Beef and Onion Pirog with Dill
Soft yeast dough encloses a savory filling of beef, sweet onion and plenty of dill in this generous Russian family pie. Little cut vents reveal the juicy meat underneath, and a brush of butter keeps the golden top tender.
Test kitchen note: Brush the hot pie with melted butter and cover it with a towel for 15 minutes; the steam softens the crust exactly as it should be.
